lyrics

Swept off our feet
And taken to a tomb
Encased in thinning ice,
Adorned with starving fawn.

A cursed place defaced
By ever prideful man
To take away from eden,
To build to be eternal.

But the soul of man
Flutters to the ground
To rest on rotten oak,
Returning to its roots.

Spawning forth a cascade
Of new life to begin
If not for other men
Snuffing out the life.

Winter shrouds my body
In coldness much forgotten.
I long for this embrace
To carry me away.

To die among the beauty,
Away from brick and steel;
Away from thoughts of hatred,
Of neighbors so afraid.

This soul of mine
Flutters to the ground
To rest on rotten oak,
Returning to it's home.

My pride, my place here:
To build up towers strong.
May God have mercy on my soul,
For I am what I loathe.

Burry me in the snow, so afraid.
Burry me in the snow, so ashamed.
Burry me in the snow, so unscathed.
I am a reflection of my end.

Burry me with the sun, holy one.
Burry me with the moon, holy one.
Burry me with the earth, holy one.
I see nothing left but slow decline.

In the glory of winter my heart will thaw.
